Uwell Caliburn Open Pod System

The Caliburn by Uwell is an extremely easy to use open pod vape kit with a pocket friendly slim pen design. Vapers can activate the Caliburn though the single button on the device by pressing it 5 times to turn it on or off, alternatively the Caliburn has a mouth to lung draw activated mechanism that gives vapers a similar feeling. This along with the easy to use open pod system makes the Caliburn an excellent choice for transitioning vapers.

Design and Features of the Uwell Caliburn

The Caliburn's weight is under 30g, it has a lightweight and rugged aluminum body houses a 520mAh internal cell with maximum output of 11W. The 2mL Caliburn refillable pod has a mouth to lung draw with medium restriction and built in 1.4Ω parallel coil that is ideal for use with nicotine salt e-liquids. The Caliburn produces a thick and flavorful vapor cloud, and dual top fill ports hidden under the removable press fit mouthpiece that prevent leaks while refilling the Caliburn pods. A notch in the body makes room for a viewing window to see the remaining e-juice level, and strong magnets securely attach the pod to the Caliburn battery firmly enough to prevent accidental separation while still allowing it to be easily removed to be filled or changed.

The Uwell Caliburn is a dual fire vape kit, with a single operating button and fires the atomizer with a continued hold, and a draw-activated mechanism also offers a vaping experience more similar to a cigarette. The battery light clearly indicates charge level during use (Green > 60% > Blue > 30% > Red) so you will always know when its time to charge your Caliiburn. The device conveniently charges in about 45 minutes via micro USB and pass through charging is supported, but takes a few minutes to initialize when the battery is fully drained.

The Caliburn pods are refillable with either nic salt or freebase nicotine e juice although nic salt is generally recommended for a low power device like the Caliburn but the device offers the flexibility to choose what works best for the user. Depending on how often they are used, the Caliburn pods should be replaced every 2 - 3 weeks. A good way to tell if its time for the pod to be changed is if it gives off a burnt taste creating an unpleasant vaping experience. The 2ml Caliburn pods can be small for some users but the pods can be switched between with ease, it is recommended that heavy vapers carry more than one pod with them when travelling with the Uwell Caliburn.
